Day 1
Arrive Dublin airport and meet your guide and driver at the 'Chauffeur Driver
Meeting Point' in the arrivals hall. Enjoy a Panormic City Tour en route to
your hotel to acquaint you with the city. Overnight Dublin City Centre Hotel.
Free for dinner.
Day 2
09h00 Depart Hotel for morning city tour with your driver and guide.
You will pass many sights famous to Dublin - the GPO, Custom House, Trinity
College, the Georgian Buildings of Merrion Square, St. STephen's Green,
Christchuch Cathedral, Phoenix Park.
Arrive at Old Jameson Distillery for tour of Distillery Museum and Whiskey
Tasting.
Continue back to City Centre after tasting for more sightseeing or free time
if you wish.
The guide will suggest places for dinner and can make a reservation for them,
perhaps, Chapter One Restaurant on Mountjoy Square. This is a top class, award
winning restaurant and is walking distance from the hotel.
The driver and guide will leave you at 18h00.
Day 3
09h00 Depart Gresham Hotel for journey to Kilkenny City. You can go through
County Wicklow and visit Powerscourt House - this is an 19th Century house
that was restored after a fire in the 1970's. The house now contains craft
shops and is a lovely stop for morning coffee on the pavillion overlooking
the landscaped gardens.
Further south, in the Wicklow Mountains, lies
Glendalough - this is a 6th Century Monastic site lying on the shores of
the Upper and Lower Lakes. There are a couple of pubs / restaurants around
Glendalough, where you can stop for lunch and then you will travel over
through Kildare and Carlow and arrive in the Medieval City of Kilkenny to
check into the hotel.
Your guide can help them make restaurant reservations
for this evening. The hotel is within walking distance of everything in the
town as it is quite a compact little town and some areas are closed to traffic
during the day.
Day 4
You can have a lie in this morning - starting at 10h00 and will have a morning tour of
the City, they could visit Kilkenny Castle if you wish. Ypu are booked in for lunch
in Langtons Hotel at 12h30. After lunch, you could take a trip to Waterford City if
they wanted to see the Waterford Crystal Factory. Free for dinner.
Day 5
09h00 Depart the hotel and travel out through Clonmel and Cahir to Cashel to
see the Rock of Cashel. This used to be the seat of power for the High Kings
of Ireland and in the 11th Century was handed over to the church. The remains
there today, date from the 14th Century.
They will then continue back to Dublin
on the N8 route through Abbeyleix and Portlaoise. They can discuss a lunch
stop en route with your guide. Or you may possibly like to visit the National
Stud in Kildare en route back to the airport.
The guide and driver will aim to
get youback to the airport for check in at 15h30.
