Day 1

Arrive from your flight into Shannon Airport in the West of Ireland, there you will meet your driver and/or guide. He will bring you to your touring coach and then you will travel north through Co. Clare to your hotel in Galway City for the night.

You will have the afternoon free to wander around the city and explore your new surroundings. O/N Galway. Dinner at hotel.


Day 2

Today you see some of the Gaeltacht area of County Galway before travelling south to Clarenbridge towards the Burren Area of Co. Clare. This rocky landscape takes its name from the word 'Barren' and you will see that it is just that!

There is however, some flora species that survive here and are unique to this area. The landscape soon gives way to lush green fields again as you get closer to the West Coast and the Cliffs of Moher. These cliffs stretch for 5 miles around the coast and are 500 feet up from the sea .

After a walk along the cliff tops, you will continue south again towards Ennis town and then on towards Limerick, then taking the Cork Road, you will travel out of the city towards the picturesque village of Adare. The journey then to Killarney takes about an hour and you will arrive at your new lodgings by about 5.30.

Evening you are free to explore the shopping and pubs in the town. O/N Killarney or Tralee. Dinner at hotel.


Day 3

Today, you will have a full day trip around the Ring of Kerry. You will travel north west of Killarney to the town of Killorglin, where they crown a goat, King of the town for one weekend every year. You pass through the town and continue around the Iveragh Peninsula through the villages of Glenbeigh, Cahirciveen, Waterville, Caherdaniel, Sneem, Kenmare and then back to Killarney via Ladies View and Moll's Gap.

Just outside Killarney, you will make a stop at Muckross House - this is a beautiful Victorian Mansion, built on the shores of the Lakes of Killarney and you will be able to view every room in the house and stroll around the magnifcent gardens.

If you like, you can take a local Jaunting Car back to your hotel from here instead of taking the coach. O/N Killarney/Tralee. Dinner at hotel.

An option in the evening will be a show at folk theatre, Siamsa Tire.


Day 4

You depart Killarney this morning, heading east along the Cork road, through Macroom to Cork City and then slightly north of that to Blarney Castle. You will probably want to kiss the Blarney Stone to receive the 'gift of the gab' and there is some great shopping at the nearby Blarney Woollen Mills.

Afterwards we continue to travel east, through Midleton, Youghal, Dungarvan to Waterford City. We will visit the famous Crystal Factory, where you will see the exquisite glass being blown into shape and then we will overnight locally in Waterford City.

O/N Waterford. Dinner at hotel.


Day 5

After breakfast, continue on to Dublin via Kilkenny City which includes a visit to the 600 year old Kilkenny Castle. Spend some free time walking around the streets of this Medieval Town.

In the early afternoon, we will travel further North through Carlow and Kildare to to your hotel in Dublin City. O/N Dinner in City Centre. Option in the evening to see a play in the Abbey Theatre.


Day 6

Today, you will into the city for a morning city tour to get you acquainted with the City, visiting Trinity College, Guinness Storehouse and St. Patrick's Cathedral and then the afternoon will be free for you to explore by yourself.

In the afternoon, there will be an option to visit the Dublin Writer's Museum and the James Joyce Tower in Sandycove. The Tower is one of a series of Martello towers built to withstand an invasion by Napoleon, it now holds a museum devoted to the life and work of James Joyce, who made the tower the setting for the first chapter of his masterpiece, Ulysses.

This evening, the Farewell Dinner will be at a Traditional Irish Pub with music and entertainment. O/N Dinner at Traditional Pub.


Day 9

After breakfast, we depart Dublin, travelling north through Newry and the Mountains of Mourne, we will arrive at the St. Patrick Centre in Downpatrick to see the 180 degree film 'In the Footsteps of St. Patrick'. After the film we will have lunch in the Cathedral Garden Restaurant.

Afterwards, you will leave the centre with a local guide on board the coach, for a tour of the surrounding area including, Saul Church, the first church in Ireland, the first Irish holy wells and Struell. You will also visit St. Patrick's Grave at Down Cathedral.
In the afternoon, we continue on to Belfast for overnight. Dinner at hotel.

Option for pub crawl with local guide after dinner.


Day 10

TA local guide will meet you for a morning city tour of Belfast including photo stops at the Peace Wall and Stormont Castle. Late morning, you will travel up this fabulous coastline to the Giants Causeway, a World Heritage Site.

The unique rock formations were caused by volcanic activity but the popular belief is that they were built by Irish legendary hero 'Fionn MacCumhaill' in order to get across the sea to fight his enemy in Scotland.

After your walk back from the Causeway, you will be in need of refreshment, so you will make a visit to Bushmills Distillery and have a sample of the famous 'water of life'.

You will return to Belfast for overnight. Dinner at local restaurant.


Day 11

We return directly to Dublin airport today for your return flight home.
